All of us have sinned. The Bible is very clear on this.
Through Adam and Eve's transgression, we were all born into this world as sinners.
Romans 3:10-12
"As it is written, there is
none righteous, no not one. There is none that understandeth, there is none that
seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become
unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."
There is a severe penalty for sin and that is separation from God and
his glory forever. The price one must pay for turning down the free gift of God is
eternity in the darkness of Hell.
John 3:36
"He that believeth on the
Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the
wrath of God abideth on him."
Salvation is the free gift of God. You cannot work for it nor can
it be purchased. All the good deeds you might do in a lifetime will not earn you a
place in Heaven. Trying to keep the Ten commandments or the Law of Moses will not
help. Without trusting our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, you are lost.
Galatians 2:16
"Knowing that a man is not
justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed
in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works
of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified."
Jesus came into the world, not as a conquering hero or a valiant
soldier, but as an humble Servant and Savior to set man free from his bondage
to sin. The debt spoken of in Romans 6:23 was paid in full on the cross of Calvary
by Jesus Christ. You were not there but you benefit today from that gift. But
it's only a free gift if you reach out and accept it!
II Corinthians 5:21
"For he hath made Him to be
sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."
You need to put your total trust in Jesus Christ and what he did
for you at Calvary. Believe this with all your heart, mind and soul. Repent
and be saved!
Romans 10:13
"For whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Lord, I know I am a sinner
and I don't deserve heaven, but I believe that Jesus died for my sins on the cross so I
might be saved. Lord, I want you to forgive me for my sins and come into my life and
save me right now. I want to give you my life and follow you wherever you lead me.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Salvation is forever! Once you truly accept Jesus Christ as Lord
of your life, you can never lose your salvation. Heaven will rejoice in your
decision to follow Jesus today!
Luke 15:7
"I say unto you, that
likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and
nine just persons, which need no repentance."
